About the Presenter:

Judith Kolberg founded FileHeads Professional Organizers in 1989. Respected by her peers for her ability to forecast organizing trends and for her educational talent, Kolberg is the recipient of the industry’s highest honors including the prestigious Founder’s Award from the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and the Highlighter Award from the NSGCD. Her contribution to the inaugural certification program for professional organizers was recognized with the President’s Award. Judith Kolberg is the founder of the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD). She is credited with launching an entire field of professional organizing specifically dedicated to addressing the needs of individuals who are chronically disorganized. Her innovative methods have been used by people whose organizing styles, preferences or obstacles are unaddressed by conventional organizing approaches including adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, people who hoard, and right-brain individuals.
Kolberg’s groundbreaking books on organization/disorganization have sold over a quarter of a million copies in the US, Korea, Saudi Arabia, England and the Netherlands and includes Conquering Chronic Disorganization, recommended reading for the certification of all professional organizers, and translated into Korean. What Every Professional Organizer Needs to Know About Chronic Disorganization is a required text for the certification of organizers specializing in chronic disorganization. ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life co-authored with Dr. Kathleen Nadeau is published by Routledge, a worldwide academic press and has been translated into Dutch. What Every Professional Organizer (Social Worker and Mental Health Professional) Needs to Know About Hoarding includes a foreword by Dr. David Tolin, one of the nation’s leading authorities on the topic. A native New Yorker, Kolberg was deeply affected by the events of September 11th, 2001 and wrote Organize for Disaster: Prepare Your Home and Your Family for Any Natural or Unnatural Disaster. She is a Homeland Security/Citizen Corp’s Community Emergency Response team member.
Kolberg formed Squall Press to publish her books, e-books and MP3’s. She provides book coaching to prospective authors and has brought to publication two other titles by other authors. Her depth of experience and humorous delivery has made her a popular corporate trainer and keynote speaker. She addresses about 1,000 people per year live and via teleclass and webinar on a range of organization/disorganization topics. Judith is a virtual instructor for Pearson Education, the nation’s leading publisher of elementary and secondary school textbooks. She is a featured organizer on The Discovery Network’s program series, Buried Alive on The Learning Channel and has been covered in more than 60 print, TV and radio media outlets.
